Connect an Exchange
Bybot connects to MEXC and Bybit through exchange APIs. Your trading funds remain in your exchange account: Bybot can read the account data required for operation and place spot orders, but the connection does not require withdrawal access.
Choose an exchange
- Connect MEXC — create an API key, select permissions, and add the key to Bybot.
- Connect Bybit — prepare an account or subaccount and configure trading access.
Before creating a key, confirm that you are signed in to the exchange’s official website and that two-factor authentication is enabled. If the exchange supports subaccounts, using a dedicated subaccount can make the bot’s balance and trading history easier to separate and review.
Use restricted API permissions
Bybot needs account-read and spot-trading permissions. Do not enable withdrawals. After connecting, verify that the key belongs to the intended account, the required spot pair is available, and the balance can cover the complete order plan.
Replace an API key if it was exposed, shared with another person, or stored insecurely. Deleting the key on the exchange immediately removes the bot’s access to that account.
Continue setup
After the connection succeeds, continue to Creating a Bot and calculate the strategy’s complete budget before launch. The DCA strategy guide explains price-based averaging and its risks.
