How this Bybit trading bot works
LONG buys on dips and sells on a small rise
More about the strategy
Bybot is a trading bot for Bybit designed for spot DCA automation. It works through Bybit API keys and Unified Trading Account, averages entries when the market moves against the position, and closes the whole cycle when your target profit is reached.
The bot opens a first spot buy on the pair you selected, for example ETH/USDT. If price drops by the step you configured, the next buy is placed lower, which reduces the average entry price. When the market returns to your take-profit level, the bot sells the full position and starts a new cycle.
This makes Bybot useful for traders looking for a Bybit DCA bot with a simple spot-only process instead of a leveraged futures setup.
Example
You launch the bot on ETH/USDT with a $50 initial order at $3,200. ETH drops 2% and the bot buys $75 more. ETH drops another 2% and the bot adds $100. The average entry price goes down, so once price recovers 1.5% above the average, the bot closes the full amount — before ETH is back at $3,200.
Why traders use Bybot as a Bybit API trading bot
Built for Bybit UTA
Bybot follows Bybit’s Unified Trading Account model for spot trading, which keeps balances and orders inside one account structure.
Spot-only automation
The bot does not use leverage or futures, which keeps execution and risk management easier to understand.
DCA and GRID
DCA buys on dips and sells the whole position on a small rise. GRID buys on fixed levels and sells each buy with its own profit.
Your deposit isn’t locked
Only the next averaging order sits on the exchange, not the whole ladder, so the rest of your balance stays free until the bot needs it.
No withdrawal access
The API key only allows reading the balance and placing spot orders. Funds stay on your Bybit account and cannot be withdrawn by the bot.
Backtest before you launch
Run your settings on up to 365 days of 1-minute history of this exchange without placing real orders and without an API key. 3 runs per day are free.
